FLIGHTMATE®  (PMA450B Only)

Introducing flightmate®, the first multi-function digital recorder/audio system available in an audio selector panel. Incoming aircraft radio messages are recorded and can be played back in the pilot's headset. flightmate@ also allows the creation of aural alert that are programmed by the pilot using a few front panel key presses while speaking into the pilot's microphone. This records these annunciations in locations that are specific to one of the four discrete inputs of the audio panel. Anytime there is a change of state (a out of limit condition or a Sonalert starts to sound off) the associated message will sound out until it is acknowledged. 

One of the four discrete messages is designed specifically for Sonalerts, the other three are for logic levels, typically coming from electronic engine instruments or other devices that give a change of state during a pre-set condition.

FLIGHT TIMER (PMA450B Only)

The PMA450B also includes a count down/count up timer built into the audio panel and is accessible by pressing the bottom soft key. This can be used as a convenient reminder for timed instrument approaches, fuel tank switching, flight time elapsed and any other timing needs.

STREAMING (PMA450B Only)

Stream audio to a digital video camera for enhanced cockpit safety or let your passengers relive the excitement of the flight with all the audio.

MORE BLUETOOTH

With the proliferation of Bluetooth® enabled devices in the cockpit and the ways pilots are using them, why not add more modules to the audio panel?  This 3rd generation PMA450C has two completely independent Bluetooth® modules, giving  unprecedented connectivity capabilities.  The PMA450B/C has the ability to work like no other panel available. Hear Foreflight® alerts, make a phone call to ATC for your IFR clearance, you might even listen to your favorite tunes once in a while.

INTELLIAUDIO®

IntelliAudio® gives the pilot the capability to pay attention to the radio that is important to their flight at any one instant in time.  This is accomplished by positioning the Com audio in the headset to sound as if it is coming from one of 9 unique positions.  Just like being at a cocktail party surrounded by other guests, you are able to pay attention to the person who is telling you something important while ignoring the other conversations that aren’t. The PMA450C positions Com 1 at the 10 o’clock position while Com 2 is positioned at the 2 o’clock position, which is the default position for IntelliAudio®, and the one most used by pilots.

USER INTERFACE

The 3 Soft-key user interface is unprecedented for audio control panels. With more and more capability provided by our audio panels, we found it necessary to make the access to these functions easier. If you can read English  you’ll be able to get all of the capability from the PMA450C without ever having to open up the User’s Guide.
